The Present Theatre Company, Inc. is a 501.c.3 (not-for-profit) corporation in the State of New York
and the proud creator and producer of The New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC),
now celebrating its fourteenth anniversary.
When we started FringeNYC in 1997, the budget for the festival was $74,000.
Today, our costs have surpassed a million dollars.
In 1997, the top ticket price for the festival was $11. Merely adjusting for inflation brings that price to $14.60 today.
And yet our top ticket price has been $15 for seven years. . . .
We must seek and secure support from individual donors in order to "bridge the gap"
between rising costs and our desire to keep ticket prices low.
