SHORT TERM VOLUNTEER POSITIONS *** WORK A SHIFT / SEE A SHOW AT FringeNYC ***
Volunteering for FringeNYC is the only way to see FREE SHOWS! There are three different short-term volunteer positions, and each of them offers a "work a shift, see a show" opportunity. For each two-hour shift you volunteer with FringeNYC, you'll receive a Volunteer Voucher - good for a ticket to any FringeNYC performance!
We are building our volunteer database in order to make volunteering (including registering, communicating, and scheduling) much easier to coordinate. If you are interested in volunteering as a short-term volunteer for FringeNYC in July or August, please make sure to register via the link below.
When you follow the link, you'll have the opportunity to complete a FringeNYC Volunteer Application Form. Once you complete the form, click the submit button at the bottom. You will receive an email confirmation, and will then be placed on our Volunteer Newsletter mailing list. Filling out an application form will allow us to send specialized training and scheduling information based on your interest!
Thanks for helping to make this festival happen!
There are three short-term volunteer positions:
CONCIERGE (AT FringeCENTRAL) – ASSIST THE TEAM AT FringeCENTRAL! We're putting together a team of enthusiastic concierges, who would be on rotating assignment to the concierge desk at FringeCENTRAL. Our concierges answer general questions, as well as suggest restaurants and routes to venues to our patrons. They also have access to the FringeNYC Slice-O-Matic, and can help our audience find the perfect show for them. For each two-hour shift at the concierge desk, you’ll receive a voucher to see a show for free!
BOX OFFICE / TICKET DISTRIBUTION (AT THE VENUES) - We need short-term volunteers to help with will-call distribution. This involves handing out tickets to audience members who have purchased tickets in advance via the internet or phone. You will report to the Box Office Manager and Venue Director on-site, who'll give you instructions. Volunteers might also get sent to sold-out shows to help audience members find other FringeNYC shows starting soon that are nearby. And remember, for each two-hour shift as a box office volunteer, you’ll receive a voucher to see a show for free!
GENERAL VOLUNTEERS (AT FringeCENTRAL) - General volunteers are needed at FringeCENTRAL. Here you'll assist the staff with whatever needs doin'! It could be anything from taking a replacement lamp to a venue to taking notes at a daily roll call meeting. Whatever it is, you can bet it is vital to keeping FringeNYC goin'!
If you are interested in any of the above Short Term Volunteer Positions, you can get started by clicking the link below. This will take you to the VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION FORM. Fill out all of the information and press submit. You'll then receive the appropriate Volunteer Newsletters with information about training and scheduling. We need help starting in July and throughout the festival, so even if you can only help for a few hours/days, or late in the festival, your help is still very much appreciated!
Volunteers can only log in to their volunteer page after coming to FringeCENTRAL for a very short training or after coming to one of the volunteer rallies.
